Service Management: Reserved IP Addresses
Your Hipposerve® VPS includes a primary IP address that is assigned to the server when it is provisioned. In some situations, however, you may wish to use additional IP addresses for your server.
For this reason, Hipposerve® allows customers to purchase up to two additional reserved IP addresses for their VPS instance.
Additional IP addresses can be useful in a variety of situations, including:
- Hosting multiple websites that require their own dedicated IP address.
- Separating services such as web, mail, or application traffic across different IP addresses.
- SSL or application requirements where a specific service may require its own IP address.
- Advanced networking configurations where multiple IPs are required for routing, firewall rules, or service isolation.
Reserved IP addresses are assigned specifically to your VPS instance and remain available to that server while your service is active.
Viewing Your Reserved IP Addresses
- Open your VPS in the Hipposerve® Portal (see here).
- In Service Management, click the Reserved IP Addresses icon.

This section will display any additional reserved IP addresses that have been allocated to your VPS instance.

If you have purchased additional IP addresses, they will appear in this list and can be used within your server configuration as required.
Adding Additional Reserved IP Addresses
Reserved IP addresses are normally purchased during the VPS ordering process.
