Managing Unused Images in Hipposerve® Studio

The Unused folder inside Hipposerve® Studio helps you identify images and media files that are no longer being used on your website.

This makes it easier to keep your media library organised, remove unnecessary files and manage storage more efficiently.

Adding a Gallery

Before scanning for unused images, you first need to add a gallery to your page.

  1. Drag and drop the Gallery widget from the main toolbar.
  2. Select the List Gallery layout.
  3. Select the gallery and click the picture editing icon () in the right-hand toolbar.
  4. Click Add Pictures to upload your images.
  5. Click Size in the right-hand toolbar.
  6. Set a gallery size manually or enable Allow to adjust size automatically.
Tip: Using automatic sizing can help galleries display more consistently across desktop and mobile devices.

Scanning for Unused Images

You can scan your website to identify images and videos that are no longer being used.

To scan for unused media:

  1. Select the gallery and click the pictures icon () in the right-hand toolbar.
  2. Click the Add Images/Videos button to open the full media gallery.
  3. Select the Unused folder.
  4. Click the Scan button to search the website for unused images.
  5. Once the scan has finished, click Close.
Note: You can run the scan again after adding, replacing or deleting images on your website.

Keeping your media library tidy can make website management much easier, especially for larger websites with many images and videos.

The Unused folder can help you:
